Autumn Workshop: Creative Prompts for Getting Unstuck
Wednesdays in Amsterdam - Nov 4, 11, & 18, 19:00-21:00
Creative writing is process of arriving to the page and finding new possibilities—a process available to us even if we arrive to the page stuck, uncertain, or uninspired.
This workshop is designed as a warm and inviting space to come together and explore as writers. Each session will offer in-session creative prompts and time for writing—a form of workshop often called generative. In other words the workshop is desgined as a shared space, supportive and focused, in which to experiment and create by generating new writing.
You can show up with a project well underway, or you can come without any sense of what you might want to write, in order to find out. Everyone is welcome. Each session will offer several writing prompts, as well as (always optional, but warmly invited) time for sharing aloud. There is no ‘homework’: our work together will happen in our sessions in the form of writing and listening.
The workshop is suitable not only for writers but for anyone with experience in another creative discipline (theater, dance, improv, visual art, etc) and a curiosity to try something new. Cost: €225, VAT inclusive. Location: TBA in Amsterdam Oost. To sign up, fill out the form below, or for any questions about the workshop, please email me.
